Lt.Col Warryck Lee Wolf Receives Bronze Medal with Valor

Lt.Col Warryck Lee Wolf returned from Landstuhl, Baghdad, Iraq, where she had spent 2 months in ICU.  Two months in ICU and still she lost hearing in her right ear, and sight in her right eye.  All of this coming on the heels of a Spe-op Mission she helped spearhead, but her Unit was ambushed and for almost two hours the wounded and dead were pinned down.  Lt.Col Wolf was medivacked to Landstuld Hospital after Paramedics decided she wouldn't make it to Germany. Lt.Col Wolf and Crpl. Benjermine Sheffler reamined at Landstuhl until departing for the States in March.  Before leaving Iraq, where she did her first tour, Brig. Colonel Simmons Presided over a small Ceremony in the atrium of the Hospital where He Presented Lt.Col Wolf With The Bronze Star with Valor, The Joint Command Commodation Medal,  and The Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Valor.

Lt.Col Wolf is still undergoing rehab for her knee, but she made it Home to her Family and Friends.  "My Heart is all Marine, all the way."  Lt.Col Wolf said, "it will always be that way.  I can't imagine being anything else now...but now it's the one thing I can't 'actively' participant in...but I'll always be a Marine."   Cpl Reggie Treja said, "I served with Lt.Col wolf for 2 years and 8 months, I would rather she have my six than anyone I could imagine.  She's Top Drawer, you know. I mean She didn't get those Medals for lookin' cute...doesn't work that way in the Marines. She had a job to do and she did it as well as as any man I know...Better.

Congratulations Lt.Col Wolf, we Salute You.
